Safeguarding
Our online school is committed to a whole-school approach to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All our pupils have the right to be protected from all types of harm and abuse, and all our school systems, processes and policies operate with the best interests of the child at heart. It is an attitude of mind, a belief system and a way of thinking that places the well-being of our pupils at the forefront of everything we do.
Our pupil-focussed, bespoke safeguarding and pastoral systems are effectively supported by highly trained educational and therapeutic staff and senior leaders who have extensive experience in working with our pupils, many of whom have additional needs.
Our experienced Designated Safeguarding Leads and Head of Safeguarding ensure that we remain up to date with safeguarding systems, policies, trends and national themes that face children and their families. This ensures all of our schools and services are able to respond appropriately and immediately to any pastoral or safeguarding concerns that arise, in line with our robust systems and procedures.
We also provide unique support and signposting for our parents and carers by keeping them up to date with relevant safeguarding issues and our PSHE curriculum to ensure continuity in approach for our pupils. Our team always welcomes parents and carers dialogue to ensure that joined-up working is a central feature to the achievements and outcomes for our pupils.
